Movement heals, and everything we need is already within us

I spent over three decades as a Life Sciences professional, leading complex global programs from startups to Hoffmann-La Roche. That career taught me discipline, precision, and how to design solutions for the person in front of me, and it taught me, firsthand, what unmanaged stress does to the body and mind. My passion for health and wellbeing grew into a second calling when I delved into fitness and wellness in 2004.

That history shapes how I work. I read the research, respect the tradition, and design every practice the way I once designed programs in the biopharma industry: around evidence, around outcomes, and around you.

What makes my approach different is the blend. I understand the demands of high-pressure professional and personal life from the inside, and I pair that understanding with deep training across fitness modalities, yoga therapy, and contemplative practices. As a mind-body interventionist, I work with the whole system (breath, movement, attention, emotion, and lifestyle) rather than a single symptom.

My aim is quality care for gaining and retaining optimal health at a very elemental level: understanding you from the root, so that recovery and resilience are something you carry yourself.

I also design and lead interactive programs for corporations, non-profits, local libraries, and community centers.

“With Wellness by Design, I strive towards informing, inspiring and thereby empowering myself and my clients to embrace the wholeness of our body, mind, heart and spirit.”

Service & community

Practice beyond the practice

I serve on the board of directors of the Veterans Yoga Project, a non-profit supporting recovery and resilience among veterans, military families, and their communities through yogic practices. We host about 85 in-person (across US) and online classes per week!

Previously, I served on the board of Narika, a Bay Area non-profit supporting women in the South Asian community.

Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.
